How old is your dog?
As a rule of thumb many folks just multiply their dogs age by seven to get their age, but there’s a little more to it than that. In your dogs first year, his life is equivalent of approximately 15 of our human years.
Also, the dogs breed, size and weight needs to be considered. Whilst a some larger breeds may not live to see their 10th (human years) birthday, it is not uncommon to see smaller breeds make 16 (which is approximately 80 in human years).
Pedigree.com and pets.webmd.com have dog age calculators where your dog’s ‘doggy’ age will be revealed.
