Dogsend or Godsend
A little yellow terrier changed the life of the Sevogia family when a neighbour who had found him wandering asked if they would mind looking after him while she went to work. The mum living with her two boys agreed but only ‘for the day’ and reminded her sons not to get attached. Mum and her neighbour created some fliers to be sent out in an attempt to find the terrier’s owner. They also placed an ad on a website.
Days later he was still there and had made great friends with the boys. He had even dragged his doggy bed to their room for company. One day while Mum was watering plants, her son who had a number of health issues began to have a seizure whilst watching a video. The terrier threw himself at the screen door and was barking alerting Mum to the event. The dog then flew back to the room where she was able to help her son. Their neurologist told them that the dog had saved his life. As no-one had claimed him, the family thought he’d more than earned his right to stay.
Eventually a gentleman did respond to the ‘lost dog ad’ and came to collect him. They made sure to ask questions which only the dogs owner could answer. As he approached and saw how distressed the two sons where at the thought of losing him, he suggested maybe Odie was meant to find them. He allowed them to keep the dog.
