What does your Vet really go through?
Veterinarians have one of the highest suicide rates of any profession. In fact, 4 times the national average. That tragically means we lose a vet to suicide every 12 weeks. Love Your Pet Love Your Vet are a registered not for profit organization which has partnered with Royal Canin to create awareness about this intense and complex medical field.
Dr. Nadine Hamilton (founder of Love Your Pet Love Your Vet) recognized the need to help veterinarian professionals avoid burnout and manage their stress. The Love Your Pet Love Your Vet roadshow is a presentation giving others a window into the life and work of vets. The public is invited to attend and there will be a question and answer session afterwards.
This is a wonderful opportunity to get a snapshot of the life and work of veterinarians and what they face on a daily basis in order to deliver care for our fur babies. Your vet is your ‘go to’ person for one of the most important beings you love… your pet. Veterinarian surgeries are extremely costly to set up, customers have monetary limitations and some times vets are expected to perform miracles.
If you or someone you know is considering work in a veterinarian environment, you would like to know more about these fabulous doctors or you would just like to show support for their cause, the roadshow will be of great importance to you. If you are already an ideal client at your vet surgery, the 90-minute presentation will still increase your knowledge, which in turn helps you create awareness.
