Music and calm dogs
Plenty of folks are interested in ways to address anxiety in their pooch, especially when Fido is left home alone. Of course even some kennels have found the radio left on to be helpful. The sound of the radio helps to mask other noises which may be outside. But researchers say the type of music itself plays a part in a dogs mood just as it does with a human. Elements relating to the timing, pitches, patterns and repetition within a composition make it more or less relaxing for canine and humans to listen to. And it’s the calming capacity of some kinds of classical music coming up trumps.
icalmdog is a portable product using pre-loaded music, a unit you can switch on to sooth your dog whether you are home or absent.

We haven’t tried one yet but there are also a lot of CD’s or digital music you can use designed for the purpose of calming the canine nervous system.
