Doggy nose print
They say don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. Has the dogs nose, with its tiny dots and bumps been overlooked? Yes indeed. In fact it is said that each has its own unique design, much like a fingerprint. A business in the U.S.A. was reported to have developed a system called ‘Dognose ID’ to record identification for dogs via a noseprint. Tags can be lost or fall off and some folks disagree with micro-chipping so I guess it’s a fair alternative. I have also read that taking a nose print from a dog is easy and painless however it’s not something I feel a desire to do or recommend. I can think of much better uses for food colouring.
Next time you’re up close with your dog or cat (yes, they too have unique nose prints) take a look at that marvelous design.
